I have been involved in the game of volleyball for the past 30 years, 24 of those years have been spent coaching. I have coached 2nd graders all the way up to senior citizens, this game is for everyone. I worked four years as the volleyball coordinator for the Courthouse Athletic Club and two at the KROC Center in Salem, coaching, running clinics, teaching private lessons, and hosting tournaments. In 2012 I was hired as the JV coach for McKay High School and in 2014 I became head coach of the program. In 2011 I began coaching for Capital City Elite and have had the wonderful opportunity to coach at every age level. Teaching young people about volleyball and the life lessons we can learn from it inspires me and fulfills me on a level I could never have expected. As the Director of Capital City Elite, my hope is that every young person that falls in love with this game will have the platform, the support, and the best coaches to enrich their dreams! 

My name is Alexis Stewart. I am 25 and a wine sales representative. I graduated from Sprague High where I played volleyball for 4 years. I played club with Southside and Salem volleyball club for 4 years as well. I have coached for 4 years, I started as an assistant to the 14-1 team at Southside, then 2 years as a head 12's coach at Southside, and one year at CCE with the 14 regional. I also just finished my first season as a high school coach with West freshman team. 

Shay was born and raised in the Salem area, having played locally for McKay HS and for Capital City. She has four years of collegiate volleyball experience at Bushnell University for both indoor and beach volleyball.
